A total of 31,000 workers are employed at Sibanye Stillwater. This is the largest gold, platinum and palladium producer in the world. The miners rejected an offer from Sibanye of 850 rand.

Regarding the current situation I have to say that unfortunately we have a black series of accidents in JSW, the rescue operation in Pniówek mine is not yet finished and already there was another accident, this time in Zofiówka mine. In the Zofiówka mine there was an earth tremor, as a result of which a part of the mine building collapsed and buried 10 miners; unfortunately all the miners died.
