To the miners of Impala Shaft 6 in Rustenburg

I would like to express my sorrow and sympathy for the death of the three miners and the injured miners from the mining accident on 28.11.2021. I sincerely wish that they will quickly recover completely. My name is Andreas Tadysiak and I worked underground in a German coal mine for almost 35 years. I am dismayed that such an accident with such consequences has happened at this time with the technical possibilities and the experience in mining.

It is clear that the international monopolies put profit before the health of us and our families. In the struggle programme that the International Miners' Coordination jointly adopted in 2017, it states: "There are over 20 million miners worldwide extracting and mining the treasures of the soil in harsh and dangerous conditions, but their living conditions are very poor." Against these international mining monopolies and their governments, we can only become a superior force if we, together with our families, cooperate internationally and coordinate our struggles. To this end, we are holding our 3rd International Miners' Conference in Thuringia/Germany from 31.8.2023 to 3.9.2023. I would be happy if you could decide to cooperate in the preparation of the conference and take part in it. We can learn a lot from each other. We have reported about the mining accident on our homepage www.minersconference.org. Can we support you in any way? We stand side by side with you!
