Georgia: The struggling miners from Chiatura, send greetings of solidarity to workers in Nordhausen, Thuringia

We, the manganese miners of Chiatura who have been fighting for our jobs, ecology and the share of the wealth which is underneath our feet, Salute the workers of Schachtbau GmbH in Nordhausen, who are also fighting for a decent pay they deserve. We managed to struggle tooth and nail already for 61 days and we're not going to back down now. We've been ignored, laughed at, provoked, threatened, lied to.
For the last 4 days the hunger strike was started by 6 miners and as of last night, 4 of our leaders were arrested, when at 3AM the regional raided the tent where the hunger strikers are lying.
Our professions count hundreds of years of organizing and fighting back against bosses who want more and more only for themselves.
International solidarity is one of the biggest tools in our arsenal as our fight also confirmed that statement over and over again. When our comrades fundraised for us, or even just by their physical presence gave hope to the workers.
This is why we want you to know that your fight isn't alone. We may be far from you physically but, we are closer than ever.
We are miners. We are born to fight and winning is our destiny.
Our fights are alive and what we learn from them will make future fights of our colleagues all over the world stronger and stronger until the day of decisive victory comes.
