Information Letter No. 2 to the participants of the 3rd International Miners' Conference

31 August to 3 September 2023 in Thuringia/Germany Registration and preparation of the discussion forums Dear participants of the 3rd International Miners' Conference, The task of the open discussion forums at the 3rd International Miners' Conference is to intensively discuss the core issues of the worldwide situation and struggles of miners and their families with the aim of developing coordination and cooperation to a higher level internationally.

They will be proposed and prepared by the different participants. . The International Miners' Coordination strengthens the international miners' movement in its unity, fighting power and support in the mining regions and respective countries in the struggle for a liveable future. This is all the more important today, when in Ukraine there is a danger of two imperialist camps clashing: Russia on the one hand, NATO with the USA on the other, both nuclear-armed. Here our motto is: workers do not shoot at workers! The conference should be a step to get to know each other, to build confidence, to prepare and carry out common coordinated actions of solidarity, struggle and to exchange and evaluate experiences for the higher development of the international miners' movement. Therefore, all important questions of work, life, struggles, organisation, environment, youth and families, etc. should be the subject of the forums. should be the subject of the forums. At the last conference, we had the following forums, among others: protection of the environment and defence of jobs, living conditions, women and family, struggle of the workers and the people and youth against the sell-out of raw materials by the international monopolies, politicisation and radicalisation of the miners' movement, refugee movement worldwide. Preparation of the forums is part of the national preparation process. Please think about concrete proposals and make a binding decision on which discussion forum(s) you want to prepare responsibly. The broadest participation already in the preparation by individuals or organisations is desired. The International Miners' Coordination Group will decide on the forums. Please register these as soon as possible, but no later than 30 June 2022, with the International Miners' Coordination Group This email address is being protected from spambots.
